The Day Support Professional will provide client education and training to assist them with acquiring the skills and experience needed to participate in the community and day program, consistent with each client’s service plan. This may include activities to support clients with building problem-solving skills, self-help, social skills, adaptive skills, daily living skills, and leisure skills. The Day Support Professional engages clients in small or large group outings to the community, leisure, educational activities, and community experiences. Day Support Professionals assist in the implementation of approved behavioral strategies/plans, education, skill development, training clients as indicated, nurturing social skills, data collection, and direct support.
